Image 2 - Color 2

This image uses it's color to invoke an emotion.  The deep reds with a black foreground in the frame make this a very intense image.  The warm red against the black makes it visually stand out and advance towards the viewer.  The strong contrast of values in the colors in this image also make give it tension.  Mixed with the emotional context of the color, in our culture people would view this as a hellish or horrifying image.  It's content and color are relative to most horror films today, red being a color of danger, blood, it's association with anger.  All of these elements help to push this images fearful and horror-esque style. The red in this image also agiates the user and leaves them feeling uncomfortable, as opposed to if it were shot with a light blue light with a very bright surrounding. It's dark and dangerous, and despite the content of the evil dog face, it's really the use of a harsh red light with a dark background that gives this images it's sense of fear.
